The EMPATISE project is focused on transforming education through innovative approaches. Our goal is to equip teachers and educators with the necessary skills and knowledge to foster inclusivity and sustainability in their classrooms. By promoting a learner-centered approach and leveraging digital technologies, we aim to create engaging and effective learning experiences for all students.

The project aims to promote both the empowerment of teachers and educators and the resilience of local communities through 3 main actions:

1

Training

After an initial exchange of educational best practices and identification of learning needs faced by teachers, open educational resources will be co-developed and tested. Participating teachers and educators will be able to improve their skills and learn new ways of delivering teaching through a highly formative and interactive course that aims to develop skills and soft skills useful for the engagement of disadvantaged and difficult learners.

2

Educational communities pilots

The participants will co-develop new models of educational communities connecting schools, public bodies and private organisations working with adolescents in order to share resources to fight educational poverty and promote the integral development of teenagers’ personality.

3

Open dashboard for individualised paths

Thanks to the exchange of know-how between the actors of each local educational community and the co-design of a tool dedicated to student empowerment, an “Individual paths open dashboard”, an interactive digital tool dedicated to the development of individualised paths for students, will be developed and tested. The dashboard will interactively provide tools and methodologies for the shared creation of development and engagement paths customised to the student’s profile.

Through the EMPATISE Project, we aim to develop a comprehensive toolkit that addresses key challenges in education, such as educational poverty, school dropout and the need for inclusive teaching practices. We believe that by empowering teachers, we can make a positive impact on students’ lives and contribute to a more equitable and sustainable future.
